  • 98% of graduating class continues on to college in 2009, versus 45% of NYC public high school students
  • Four-year graduation rate of 99.65%, versus 55.4% for all NYC public high school students
  • Foster Academic Success: 79.6% of 4th graders meet or exceed state standards in English Language Arts (includes special education students), as compared to 61.3% in NYC public schools
  • Have teachers committed to ongoing professional development who are consistently recruited by New York City public school

Tuition

  • Average $3,579 per year for elementary school students (exclusive of various fees such as book fees, computer, etc.)
  • $4,454 is spent per pupil, with a 19.65% deficit, as compared to $18,141 spent per pupil in our NYC public school counterparts

Economically

  • Average household income is $28,850 for our scholarship recipient families
  • 21.1% of Brooklyn residents live in poverty versus 18.2% throughout the City's five boroughs

One of the qualities Futures in Education prides itself in is the communication with the schools we service. In a combined effort to see the children in our communities succeed, we understand that providing the best opportunities to them is vital. Below are just a few of the many accomplishments happening in our schools of the Diocese of Brooklyn:

  • Increased SMART board use in the classroom
  • Establishment of Alumni Associations at individual schools
  • Several recipient schools of the Trans Video Communication, Inc. and Title IID Technology Grants
  • Expansion of schools to include Nursery Universal Pre-K programs
  • Integrated Algebra I Regents Course, Superkids Reading/Language Arts Program and the Extended Day Program
  • Introduction of new track teams & school bands
