Futures in Education will host the 2012 Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Grand Ballroom of The Waldorf Astoria, New York City. Established in 1989, Futures in Education provides tuition assistance and program support to the neediest of students and schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn. The average annual household income of the families that Futures assists is less than $27,000. The Scholarship Fund Dinner is the premier fundraiser that Futures in Education holds annually, and has a goal of raising $2 million in scholarship resources for the children, assisting more than 1,500 students attending our Catholic elementary schools in Brooklyn and Queens.

We are privileged to announce that our honorees for the event will be William J. Hogan, Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Sales at NetApp, and Chris Mullin, Former NBA player and Naismith Hall of Famer. Our chair for the dinner is Frank Bisignano, Chief Administrative Officer at JPMorgan Chase and the 2010 dinner honoree. Our honorary co-chair is Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Ph.D., D.D., Bishop of Brooklyn. The mistress of ceremonies for the evening will be Rosanna Scotto of Good Day New York. Together, we will work toward profoundly impacting the lives of thousands of children through the gift of Catholic education.

The leadership and support of our dinner attendees and sponsors will help us in assisting underprivileged, inner-city children and highlight more than twenty years of changing lives through the gift of education. The generous donations received at the Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner will be matched 1:2 by the Children’s Scholarship Fund.
